baking up an annual report

Check out this guy HERE
Dezeen has a great post about the annual report you have to bake in your oven in order to read… 25 minutes at 100 degrees to be precise. Croatian creative agency Bruketa & Zinić designed this annual report for food company Podravka - within the larger book there is a small booklet that is inserted inside the big one that contains the very heart of Podravka as a brand: great Podravka’s recipes. “To be able to cook like Podravka you need to be a precise cook. That is why the small Podravka booklet is printed in invisible, thermo-reactive ink. To be able to reveal Podravka’s secrets you need to cover the small booklet in aluminium foil and bake it at 100 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes.” The best part? For the imprecise or lazy… the book will BURN if overcooked, like any meal.

recycle paper

'downtown new york' marcel dzama, 2007

the new museum of contemporary art presents get lost: artists map downtown new york, an
exhibition on paper distributed as a free magazine that celebrates downtown new york, the once and future home of the new museum. for this unique publication, twenty-one artists responded to an invitation to submit maps depicting their personal relationships with this vibrant part of the city. the project was curated by massimiliano gioni.

Hanging Stuff

translucent sculptures by kirsten hassenfeld
the installation 'dans la lune' is currently on at rice gallery in houstan, texas, USA -
from 27 september to 9 december 2007.

the structures resemble gigantic droplets or the onion domes of russian architecture, they are
draped with clusters and strands of faceted, gem-like forms. lit from within, they transform the
gallery into a dim, cavernous treasure trove.

Flatworld Orikaso Dinner Set

These are really well designed. I got a look at them at a outdoor outfitters place in lexington, and they are really a great Idea. Everything folds flat, and is made of a waterproof flexible polymer.
The set shown here is the after dinner set.

What do you do after dinner on those long nights in the wilderness? Bored of counting the stars? Run out of beer and conversation? Then the (After) Dinner Set is for you. After wiping your food off on the grass (or washing up if you must), simply fold the pates the other way and play chess, drafts or backgammon whilst drinking espressos or digestifs from the espresso cups.

Here is just an image of the cup in the folding process.
